Getting ready for Acro is simple and easy — no special gear required. Here’s what your child will need:
Footwear:
– Bare feet only (no socks or shoes). This helps dancers build foot strength and stay safe on the mats.
Body & Legs – Choose what’s most comfortable:
Option 1: A Black Tank leotard with convertible tights or leggings (please no sports bras on their own).
Option 2: A tight-fitting t-shirt paired with black shorts or leggings.
Hair:
Hair should be pulled back in a ponytail or secured off the face so your dancer can move freely and safely.
All items can be purchased locally at City Dancewear or Muge Dancewear — both carry what you’ll need.
After you register, a welcome email will walk you through everything step-by-step, making it all super simple and convenient. And if you ever have questions, you’re never on your own — just reach out!
Classes are closed to parents and visitors — and that’s actually a big help for your child. It allows dancers to focus fully on their instructor without distraction, and gives shy little ones the space to build confidence in a calm, comfortable setting.
There will be special opportunities during the season to come in and see how much they’ve learned — and those moments are always extra sweet!
It’s completely normal — many dancers feel this way at first. Your child will be gently supported every step of the way by caring instructors who understand how to help little ones feel safe, seen, and included.
Most children settle in quickly once they see the fun and start moving. And if it takes a little longer, that’s okay too — it’s all part of the journey, and your child will never be rushed.
Yes! Every dancer will have the chance to shine in the Year-End Recital this June — it’s a beautiful way to celebrate everything they’ve learned and gained throughout the season. To keep things simple and organized, a non-refundable costume deposit of $75 will be charged to your account on November 15.
If your dancer will be away, just give the studio a quick call or text at (403) 250-0109 to let us know.
As a small studio, most classes are only offered once a week, so makeups aren’t available at this time.
Tuition is not prorated, as instructors are scheduled and paid for each class regardless of attendance.
Thank you for understanding — it helps keep things simple and smooth for everyone!
